Family Centered Fitness
If you look at the Semi Crunchy tab of my website, it's easy to see that I love being active WITH my little. I don't like to be a bystander; an observer. I truly enjoy romping around with him because, well, he enjoys it more and giggles more and I have a lot more fun that way too.
However, I am human, and an adult, and before too long, I get to feeling like I need to do something productive. Luckily a playground is the perfect place to squeeze in a quick work out! There are so many pieces of equipment you can use, and exercises you can do, right in the great outdoors. Quint has gotten so used to me working out at the playground, he'll look up at me and say, "Mommy, you doing work-out?" I'll nod and he goes about his romping and finding new friends. It's great! Even the most rudimentary of playgrounds will have some sort of bar apparatus, stairs/elevated platforms and grass! Take this playground for example:
Today I did a quick cross-fit type workout consisting of:
15 minutes of (rounds for time)

- 25 air squats
- 10 pushups.
